But Wild Bore is more than an exercise in returning serve. In it, Coombs Marr, Martinez and Truscott probe the culture of the critics, their embedded prejudices and their intellectual postures. Throw in side serves of vitriolic tweets, Facebook snark, bad dance routines, a speech from Hamlet,bum-shaped headpieces and you’ve got a show that’s been called everything from "an eye-watering miasma of self-obsessed guff" to "truly, outrageously funny".
